the Cracked Egg Shell

July 10, 2024

7:00 PM at the Bethel Heritage Park

The band, "the Cracked Egg Shell" has roots in southeast Manitoba that go back to the 60s. We got back together over 15 years ago with 2 of the original and 3 new members. The current lineup has been together since 2010 and we still play classic rock songs from the early Rock & Roll era with a mix of some newer tunes. It’s music you will want to get up and dance to, guaranteed!

We’ve planned some extra fun for our opening event, with bouncy castles and face painting for the kids!

Food and drinks available for purchase from Superior Smash, and Frozen treats from The Icecycle.

Canadian rock group, the Silas Presley Band will take you through the past, present, and future of rock and roll, with their captivating sound and high-energy live shows. The band from Southern Manitoba consists of 20-year-old frontman Silas Presley (lead vocals and guitar), Big Robbie G (bass), Simon Delmont (keyboards), Eleanora (vocals), and Tyler Martens (drums). Inspired by acts like Led Zeppelin, The Doors, and Jimi Hendrix, Silas Presley released his debut EP, 'Transcendent,' in June 2023, encapsulating his musical journey since high school. With themes of peace, love, passion, and hope, 'Transcendent' will leave you anticipating what's to come with the Silas Presley Band's upcoming album. In March 2024, Silas travelled to Nashville, Tennessee for intensive training with his acclaimed voice coach, Ron Browning. Ron also works with singers such as Josh Kiszka of Greta Van Fleet, Alison Krauss, and Emmylou Harris, who have all endorsed Silas & Ron's work together. The Silas Presley Band will hit 'No Fun Club' recording studio in Winnipeg, MB, this June to start recording their debut full-length album, amidst performances at the Red River Exhibition, and Dauphin's Countryfest, where the band will be opening for Harlequin.

Paul Bergman

July 24, 2024

7:00 PM at the Bethel Heritage Park

Paul Bergman (1983-) was born in a half-hour and has done little since with even approximately that much haste. He used to think cottonwood seeds were bits of cloud. Unless they're speaking astronomically, he finds it odd when people say, It's a small world. He loves the moon, and much prefers odd numbers. Water is his favourite drink, and he has a folder labelled 'temporary' and he's not sure why he doesn't just store everything in there. He's released five records, and 'I just want to walk in the dark with you', the single released by Birthday Cake, is the torchbearer of an upcoming collection of songs.
